5 Miami Car Meets You Can't Miss This April
Spring cruise season is officially here. From Wynwood warehouse pop-ups to oceanfront rallies, here are the five best car events happening in Miami this April.
March was a warm-up. April is when Miami's car scene goes full throttle. The weather is perfect (low 80s, no humidity yet), the snowbirds are still in town with their toys, and every weekend has at least two events worth showing up for.
Here are the five meets and events we're most excited about this April.
1. Wynwood Wheels β April 5th
π Wynwood Marketplace, NW 2nd Ave
π 6 PM β 10 PM
π° Free entry
Wynwood Wheels has quietly become one of the best car meets in Miami. It combines the neighborhood's art scene with a curated car show β think widebody GT-Rs parked next to murals, McLarens under string lights, and a DJ set that doesn't overpower the exhaust notes.
April's edition is themed "Neon Nights" β they're encouraging wraps, underglow, and anything that glows. The last one drew 300+ cars and the vibe was immaculate. Get there early if you want a good spot.
2. Cars on the Key β April 12th
π Crandon Park, Key Biscayne
π 8 AM β 12 PM
π° $10 show entry / Free spectator
If you want your car photos to look like they belong in a magazine, this is the one. The Crandon Park backdrop β palm trees, turquoise water, that golden morning light β is unbeatable. This monthly meet has been growing steadily, and the April edition usually pulls the best turnout of the year.
Expect a strong Porsche and classic car showing. Last month had a lineup of air-cooled 911s that would make a grown collector weep. Coffee and breakfast vendors on-site.
3. Homestead Midnight Drags β April 18th
π Homestead-Miami Speedway
π 7 PM β Midnight
π° $25 spectator / $50 to race
Want to actually use your car instead of just parking it? Homestead's monthly drag night is the most fun you can have on four wheels in South Florida. They run an eighth-mile strip under the lights, and the variety is wild β Hellcats next to Tesla Plaids next to turbo Civics.
April's event is the season opener for their "Street vs. Exotic" series, which pits tuned street cars against stock supercars. Last year a built Supra walked a Huracan and the crowd lost its mind. Bring ear protection.
4. Coral Gables Concours on the Mile β April 19-20th
π Miracle Mile, Coral Gables
π 10 AM β 5 PM (both days)
π° $20 general admission
This is the fancy one. Coral Gables shuts down Miracle Mile for a proper concours d'elegance β we're talking pre-war Duesenbergs, matching-numbers Ferraris, and six-figure restorations competing for judges' trophies. It's the most prestigious car event in Miami outside of Amelia Island's orbit.
Saturday is judged show day; Sunday is more relaxed with a "Cars & Culture" format. Even if concours isn't your thing, walking a mile of the world's most beautiful cars while sipping Cuban coffee is a pretty perfect Sunday.
5. Biscayne Bay Rally β April 26th
π Start: Bayfront Park, Downtown Miami
π 7 AM departure
π° $75 per car (includes lunch)
The Biscayne Bay Rally is a spirited drive event β not a race, but a scenic route that loops from Downtown through the Keys to a lunch stop in Islamorada and back. Limited to 50 cars, it's curated to be small enough to feel exclusive but big enough to make a convoy that stops traffic.
Last year's route included a surprise pit stop at an abandoned airstrip in the Upper Keys where they set up a mini car show. Registration opens April 1st and usually sells out in 48 hours.
