South Florida's biggest track day and car show is back for spring 2026. From supercar hot laps to a 500+ car show field, here's everything you need to know about the Festival of Speed at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Mark your calendars: the Festival of Speed at Homestead-Miami Speedway is back for its spring 2026 edition, and this year's event is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Scheduled for April 18-19, 2026, the two-day event combines high-speed track action with a massive car show, vendor village, and some of the rarest machines in South Florida all in one place.

What Is the Festival of Speed?

Think of it as Miami's answer to Goodwood — a celebration of speed, style, and automotive culture that spans everything from vintage race cars to the latest hypercars. The event uses Homestead-Miami Speedway's full road course (not the oval), giving participants real track time on a 2.21-mile circuit with 11 turns.

It's not a race. It's a high-speed exhibition where owners can push their cars at 80-90% on a proper circuit with corner workers, medical staff, and experienced instructors. For the spectators, it's a chance to hear what a LaFerrari sounds like at full throttle from 50 feet away.

Track Day Details

The track sessions are grouped by experience level and car type:

  • Supercar Lapping: Open to owners of exotics and high-performance vehicles. You'll run in groups of 15-20 cars with a pace car for the first session. After that, it's open lapping with passing zones. Helmets required (loaners available).
  • Vintage/Classic Group: Pre-1990 cars get their own dedicated sessions. Expect air-cooled Porsches, vintage Ferraris, classic Corvettes, and the occasional Le Mans replica.
  • Ride-Along Experiences: Don't have a track car? Professional drivers will take you around the circuit in a selection of supercars. Last year's ride-along fleet included a McLaren 720S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and a C8 Corvette Z06.

The Car Show

The infield car show is where most attendees spend their time, and for good reason — it's one of the most diverse collections of cars you'll see anywhere in Florida:

  • Exotic Row: Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, Paganis, and whatever else South Florida's collectors bring out. Last year had a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport and a Koenigsegg Regera side by side.
  • JDM Section: GT-Rs, Supras, NSXs, and the growing Miami JDM community. This section has doubled in size each year.
  • Classic & Muscle: Matching-numbers muscle cars, resto-mods, and Miami's thriving classic car scene
  • Modified/Tuner: Wide-body builds, show cars, and competition vehicles
  • EV Showcase: New for 2026 — a dedicated section for electric performance vehicles including the Rimac Nevera, Tesla Plaid builds, and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT

Vendors & Experiences

The vendor village spans the paddock area with 100+ exhibitors:

  • Detailing companies offering live demos and show specials
  • Wheel and tire brands with mounting services on-site
  • Wrap shops showing off their latest designs
  • Performance parts vendors with festival-only pricing
  • Food trucks and a beer garden (because it's Miami)
  • A DJ stage with sets running all day Saturday

Getting There

Homestead-Miami Speedway is located at 1 Speedway Blvd, Homestead, FL 33035 — about 35 miles south of downtown Miami. Take the Florida Turnpike south to Speedway Blvd (Exit 6). Parking is free and plentiful, but arrive early on Saturday if you want a spot near the entrance. Gates open at 8 AM both days.

Pro tip: Take US-1 south instead of the Turnpike if you're coming from Brickell or Coconut Grove. It's slightly longer but way more scenic, and you'll avoid the toll plaza bottleneck. Plus, there's a great Cuban coffee spot in Florida City right off US-1 that's become an unofficial pre-event gathering point.

The Bottom Line

The Festival of Speed is the rare event that works for everyone — serious track enthusiasts, casual car fans, families, and photographers. It's also the best opportunity to see Miami's entire car scene in one place, from million-dollar hypercars to grassroots JDM builds. Get your tickets early, bring sunscreen (it's Homestead, there's zero shade), and plan to spend the full day. 🏁
